The culmination of so much work. This album was written and rehearsed over the course of a full year in TOTAL secrecy. I'm so unbelievably proud of this record and the few shows we did before it came out. These songs represent a magic moment when four individuals came together and created something that was greater than the sum of its parts. I would give anything to go back and live the year we spent together over again. Evan, who also performed drums on this album as well as spending countless hours pouring over the lyrics and arrangements with me also did the cover art. He left us before the album actually was released and there's not a day that goes by that I don't miss him.

A Light Shining in Darkness is a concept album about the corruptive power of media and tells the story of one mans decent into madness upon finding a cursed cassette tape. The original CD copies came with a reading list made to look like a course syllabus which is included in this digital edition.
